Emeren is seeking a results-driven and visionary Vice President, Engineering. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving technical excellence, product innovation, and organizational leadership, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of the renewable energy sector. Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with corporate goals and market demands, with a strong emphasis on innovation, scalability, and competitive differentiation. Independently apply advanced engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches to unique MW-based engineering PV and Battery Storage system design. Supervise engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity, while serving as a technical specialist providing knowledge and expertise. Prepare a variety of engineering deliverables for PV Solar and Battery Storage projects. Perform research and develop recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection. Solar and Battery Storage energy system design and layout; interconnection design that meet electrical code and permitting requirements. Develop single-line and three-line diagrams with required electrical details for solar PV and Battery Storage systems in accordance with regulations, utility interconnection tariffs and requirements, and local AHJ, as necessary. Provide energy production analysis. Actively coordinate with all other internal/external team members on projects. Assist the Development Team in the development and review of proposed sites. Evaluate future technologies and develop internal intellectual property products and offerings. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proven track record of successfully managing and leading large-scale engineering projects. Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies. Thorough understanding of project delivery methods. Ability to think strategically and drive change within an organization. Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to lead and execute business initiatives and provide tactical planning. Ability to maintain a trusted and collaborative relationship with senior executives. Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering or a related discipline required; Master’s or PhD preferred. Minimum 10 years in progressive engineering leadership roles, with a demonstrated history of success in renewable energy, solar technology, industrial automation, or related sectors. Deep technical knowledge of solar tracking systems, mechatronic design, hardware/software integration, energy storage projects and field-deployable energy infrastructure. Proven ability to lead global, cross-functional teams with a focus on innovation, agility, and execution. Experience managing large-scale engineering programs with significant technical complexity and strategic impact. Strong capability in engaging with customers, understanding market trends, and translating voice-of-customer into differentiated technical solutions. Financial and operational fluency, with the ability to balance technical rigor and business priorities in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of influencing and aligning stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions. This is a remote position, but candidates must be willing to travel regularly to project sites, partner meetings, and company events. Job Details
