Overview Are you a technical data architect who also sees the “big picture” in terms of business goals and benefits? Are you excited about working with a boutique data management consultancy with other smart data management professionals? Global Data Strategy, Ltd. is looking for an experienced data architect and data modeler to play a central role in steering data architecture for its clients, particularly around data warehousing and analytics platforms. Responsibilities will include helping to develop data architecture and data modeling including data warehousing best practices, master data management, and data quality.
Technical Skills
Data architecture experience, with particular expertise in data warehousing, data lakehouse, business intelligence (BI) and semantic layers, master data management, and data quality
Data warehousing design & implementation (3NF, Star Schema) – 5-8 years of experience
Data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical, dimensional/relational)
Data Warehouse Documentation & Requirements Analysis
Experience with modern & data platforms (MS SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, etc.)
Master Data Management Design and Implementation (data modeling, source/target mapping, business rules and data quality rules)
Data Quality Management (data quality rules and tooling/implementation)
Technical Architecture solution design and implementation & best practice experience
Experience with a broad range of technical data platforms and the ability to advise customers on the right technical solutions to enable their business goals
Consulting Skills
Strong communication skills (written & spoken)
Experience of planning and conducting business and technical stakeholder interviews, undertaking requirements analysis and performing current state system analysis
Must be enthusiastic and self‑motivated, and can work as part of a small expert global team
Ability to manage own time effectively, work with key stakeholders, and provide ongoing deliverables with minimal supervision
Solution‑oriented, with the imagination to identify quick wins for critical problems
Positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude
Proven consulting experience, ideally in an external consultative role or an internal role within a sizeable organization
