À propos
Accelerate Learning was founded within Rice University and spun out into a stand‑alone company in 2013. The company has grown from a single product to a nationwide brand that now offers a variety of STEM curriculum and professional development solutions to support early learning, NGSS, and state‑aligned Math and Science curriculum. STEMscopes was incubated in the classroom and developed by over 200 teachers, science experts, and science professors. Each summer the company hosts teachers for a writing camp to develop content and curriculums, field‑test lessons and assessment items, and review and edit all materials to ensure factual accuracy, so curriculums are current and practical for implementation in any type of classroom.
The STEMscopes program promotes collaboration, listening, and expression in a variety of styles through purposeful discussions that broaden students’ mindsets and encourage educational growth. The solutions provide a powerful, interactive curriculum that encourages students to rely on critical thinking, compelling reflection, and collaborative exploration within each scope.
Accelerate Learning’s world‑class solutions have led them to be named to dozens of industry accolades, including: 2019 Stevie Winner Gold, The EdTech Awards Cool Tool & Trend‑Setter 2019, and many more. Accelerate is majority‑owned by The Carlyle Group, one of the world’s leading private‑equity firms with over $220 B in assets under management, along with minority investors Quad Partners, a NYC‑based investment firm with a focus on Education and Technology, Owl Ventures, a leading EdTech‑focused venture capital firm, and Rice Management Company.
Accelerate Learning acquired Study Edge in October 2021. Study Edge operates four core products: Math Nation, Lecture PAL + Edge Prep, Tutor Matching Service, and Go Board. The flagship in‑person training facility and professional recording studio is in Gainesville, Florida, with another 10+ recording studios located around the world. Each of our digital solutions is student‑centered, designed with the needs of teachers in mind, and made to impact students at scale.
Since its founding in 2011, Study Edge has pioneered the development of digital resources to help students succeed, securing over 20 patents for our cutting‑edge solutions. Initially founded to help students at the University of Florida succeed in introductory STEM courses, Study Edge has grown to become a national pioneer in online education and now partners with schools, universities, states, and other institutions across the country to deliver flexible and effective digital solutions for student success.
