Meets personnel qualifications stated in 418.114(b)(8)./liliCurrent certification or license as required by state law./liliPossesses and maintains current CPR certification./liliReliable transportation required/li/ulpEssential Job Functions/Responsibilities/pulliProvides direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and in accordance with the plan of care./liliTreats patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance./liliDirects and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training./liliUtilizes physical agents, including, but not be limited to heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massage./liliObserves and reports to the physical therapist and the Organization personnel the patients reaction to treatment and any changes in patients condition./liliInstructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices./liliMaintains necessary records; clinical notes and conference notes, which will be incorporated into the patients clinical record in prescribed time frames./liliParticipates in interdisciplinary group and Organization Inservice Education Program./liliParticipates in the quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities/li/ul/div
