This group supports clients throughout the full asset lifecycle—from planning and pre-construction through ongoing operations—by identifying risks early, improving resiliency, and extending asset life. Property Condition Assessments (PCAs)
and
Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
across commercial, residential, and industrial properties. This position offers end-to-end ownership of projects—from onsite inspections through final reporting—along with direct client interaction and the opportunity to manage multiple projects simultaneously. It is well suited for a technically sharp professional who enjoys fieldwork, values variety and autonomy in their day, and takes pride in delivering actionable insights that inform real-world investment and asset decisions. Responsibilities
Conduct on-site Property Condition Assessments in accordance with ASTM, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae requirements. Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments following ASTM E1527 standards. Collect and document field data using web-based platforms, tablets, and electronic tools Capture detailed photographic documentation of building systems, equipment tags, data plates, and site features. Review and analyze construction plans, specifications, and maintenance records for compliance. Write professional PCA/ESA reports taking into consideration any unique client scope requirements, which convey the assessment. Perform other consulting project duties as assigned. Requirements
A bachelor’s or graduate degree in architecture and/or a related engineering field from an accredited institution. Qualified
Environmental Professional
as defined by 40 CFR §312.10. Hands-on experience performing Phase I ESAs and PCAs. 3+ years performing multifamily property inspections. 2+ years conducting similar work for financial institutions. Strong understanding of building systems, codes, and industry standards. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to interface with clients, peers, and technical field staff. Ability to produce polished technical reports and business correspondence. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, synthesize data, and present conclusions clearly. Strong time management skills and ability to consistently meet strict deadlines with minimal oversight. Ability to travel frequently for fieldwork (valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required). Field environments include industrial, construction, and residential sites. Work may include frequent climbing, needling, crawling, working in confined spaces, walking sloped roofs, climbing ladders, and working from scaffolding, and lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. Nationwide travel up to 75% of the work week via plane, car, or train, including overnight stays. Assignments may include onsite visits for up to three continuous weeks at a time.
