Job Title & Location ServiceNow Developer – Remote
Eligibility & Clearance Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass a rigorous background screening required, including detailed forms and fingerprinting. The position requires U.S. residency. The clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years. U.S. citizens cannot have left the U.S. for longer than six months consecutively in the last three years, unless exceptions apply. Non‑U.S. citizens cannot have left the U.S. for longer than ninety days consecutively in the last three years.
Job Description As a developer, your contributions will deliver solutions that empower customers to achieve their mission objectives. You will develop, implement, and maintain robust software solutions tailored to meet customer needs, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, optimize workflows, and integrate cutting‑edge technologies.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with technical teams, stakeholders, and customers.
Work independently or as part of a cross‑functional development team to deliver time‑sensitive tasks and platform enhancements.
Participate in requirements gathering, technical design discussions, and peer reviews to ensure solutions meet business and technical standards.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configuration details, integration specifications, and operational runbooks.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college/university (or four additional years of relevant work experience).
Minimum of eight years of information technology experience.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
Hands‑on experience configuring and developing in ServiceNow, including form and field creation/updates (backend configuration and/or App Engine Studio).
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience creating, modifying, and troubleshooting ACLs (Access Control Rules).
Experience using Flow Designer, approvals, task orchestration, etc.
Experience with automated testing and quality practices (ATF).
Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model, tables, inheritance, dictionary attributes, and update sets.
Ability to develop and maintain client‑side and server‑side scripting, including Client Scripts and Business Rules.
Design and implement Service Catalog solutions.
Preferred Skills
ServiceNow application development experience in ITSM modules such as Incident, Change, Problem, and Knowledge Management.
Experience with SPM modules including Demand and Project Portfolio Management.
Integrations using REST APIs, including data imports/exports, Transform Maps, Auth/JWT, MID Server, Integration Hub spokes, error handling/retries, and monitoring.
CMDB configuration and development.
Leverage AI capabilities (CoPilot and Playwright) to improve productivity and solution quality.
