Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Remote / Client-Facing) Connective Consulting is a Milwaukee-based digital consultancy, helping teams build software that works for both the people using it and the business behind it. We deliver deep engineering expertise and a problem-solving mindset to every engagement, closing the gap between what a business needs and what the software actually delivers.

While we’re headquartered in Milwaukee, our team is fully distributed. We value remote work, flexibility, and true cross-team collaboration.
What You’ll Do / Responsibilities
Be a technical partner to clients and internal teams, helping them understand technical tradeoffs, constraints, and recommendations in a clear, client-friendly way. Participate in client discovery, scoping, and architecture phases.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, provide code reviews, and help establish best practices.
Collaborate with product management, UX/design teams, and QA to ensure high-quality delivery.
Contribute to architectural decisions around scaling, performance, security, and maintainability.
Support deployment, monitoring, incident response, and ongoing maintenance of production systems.
Help the firm evolve engineering standards, tooling, processes, and delivery practices.
What We’re Looking For / Qualifications
5+ years of full-stack development under your belt.
Comfortable with modern back-end frameworks like Node, Django, .NET Core, or Rails; front-end game is strong, especially with frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
Designed robust REST or GraphQL APIs and built well-structured schemas across both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Integrating with third-party APIs and services – no problem for you.
Track record of taking features from start to finish, even when things are a bit fuzzy or lightly specified.
Communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical clients.
Thrives in a remote environment, self-driven, responsive, and proactive in working across distributed teams.
Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, as well as CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows.
Ability to mentor others and help shape team standards.
