We’re looking for a strategic and self‑driven
Payments Lead
to spearhead initiatives across both traditional and Web3 verticals. You’ll report directly to
Nikola Plecas , VP of Payments, and initially manage one team member, with the potential to expand the team further.
Responsibilities As part of the Payments team at TON Foundation, you will be responsible for driving our go‑to‑market (GTM) strategy across payment products and partnerships. This role requires a hands‑on leader who can manage external client engagements and build lasting relationships across the payments ecosystem. You’ll play a pivotal role in scaling TON’s presence in this strategic vertical.
Collaborate closely with the VP of Payments to define and implement the overall payments strategy
Lead cross‑functional efforts to launch new payment products and features across the TON ecosystem
Analyze data to identify commercial opportunities, working across teams to deliver impactful GTM execution
Build client‑facing assets and content; own solution design and commercial structuring end‑to‑end
Co‑create payment strategies and use cases with key clients and partners
Represent TON at industry events; cultivate relationships with acquiring banks, PSPs, fintechs, and other third parties
Provide market intelligence and insights to internal teams and executive leadership
Identify and evaluate new growth partnerships to expand market reach and unlock new capabilities
Act as an external‑facing expert on TON payments and ecosystem; educate clients and partners on emerging opportunities
Requirements Experience & Background:
8–10+ years of experience in payments, with strong exposure to both traditional finance and Web3
Background in
payments companies
or
management consulting
(with fintech/payments focus)
1–2 years of exposure to
Web3 or blockchain‑based payments
Deep knowledge of payment schemes, acquiring, issuing, and infrastructure
Experience building partnerships and driving go‑to‑market strategies
Preferred:
Experience working with acquirers or alternative payment methods
Track record of operating in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments
Previous consulting experience is a strong plus
Mindset & Skills:
Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, builder mentality
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Able to thrive under pressure and maintain structure, clarity, and ownership
Comfortable working independently in a decentralized, global team
Location & Travel
Remote , open to candidates from
US East Coast to Dubai
time zones
Expected travel:
up to 25%
for conferences, client visits, and offsites
