As an
Assistant
Documentation Purser , you will support the Documentation Purser in preparing and organizing all documentation required for the ship’s clearance with Port Authorities. You will assist in ensuring that all paperwork related to Immigration and Customs is accurate, complete, and submitted within required deadlines.

⚓ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support coordination between the ship and shoreside personnel (Port Agent, Customs & Immigration) at all ports of call
Assist in preparing and reviewing all documentation required for ship’s clearance
Attend clearance procedures with the Ship’s Agent and Port Authorities as required
Collect and verify guest immigration documentation during embarkation
Audit immigration data entered into the system and follow up with guests to obtain missing information
Escalate incomplete or problematic documentation to senior management for review
Assist in balancing passenger counts and preparing/exporting arrival and departure manifests
Distribute required manifests to corporate office, Customs, and Port Agent
Support coordination with the Port Agent in case of medical emergencies
Ensure all landings are properly documented via AMS Editrade system or standard forms
Assist in preparing and submitting Non‑Revenue Manifests
Coordinate documentation for Reduced Rate Sailing (crew members, vendors, etc.) with corporate office
Assist Customs & Immigration Officials and Port Agent during ship clearance procedures
Notify relevant onboard departments upon receipt of official clearance
⚓ REQUIEREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years old
Relevant ship experience is preferred
Good level of English language
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Associate degree is preferred.
Experience in immigration, customs documentation, or administrative/compliance roles preferred
Data organization skills.
Hands‑on experience with MS Office and MS Excel.
Proficient typing and editing skills.
Interpersonal and customer service skills.
Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal and interact effectively internally and externally.
Must possess problem‑solving skills, able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
