Contributions Team Role The Contributions team manages the core actions on the platform: Posting and Commenting. This high‑impact role focuses on ensuring content and surrounding conversation remain simple, expressive, intelligent, and modern. You will drive technical and product strategy, operations, architecture, and execution for one of the world’s largest sites.
This role can be 100% remote within the United States or Canada. If you are located near an office, a hybrid schedule is also welcome.
What You’ll Do
Work cross‑functionally with product, design, and engineering teams to execute on product and business strategy and build novel products and features our users will love.
Contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch. You’ll review code, design documents, and provide feedback on product specs and mocks.
Participate with a fast‑moving, motivated engineering team, improving developer workflows, recommending best practices, and mentoring teammates to grow their technical expertise.
Continuously learn and improve both technical and non‑technical abilities.
Minimum Candidate Qualifications
Minimum of 3+ years of post‑internship, full‑time, professional software development experience building user‑facing iOS native applications at scale using Swift.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing; design documents; CI/CD; A/B testing; code reviews; and documentation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule.
Excellent communication skills, collaborating effectively with teams in a fully remote environment and discussing complex topics with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Passion for building new things, thriving in ambiguity, and embracing failure and innovation.
Experience with one or more general‑purpose programming languages; Swift (expertise required), Java, Python, Go, Rust, C++.
Knowledge of GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and designing maintainable APIs is a plus.

Pay Transparency This job posting may span more than one career level. In addition to base salary, the position is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units and may also receive a commission. Reddit offers a range of benefits to U.S.‑based employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) program with employer match, generous vacation time, and parental leave. Base salary ranges for all U.S.‑based job postings are disclosed publicly.
The base salary range for this position is $164,000 – $229,000 USD.
