Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation offers trainings that use coaching methodologies and an anti-oppression analysis to support movement leaders and healers to identify, visibilize, and disrupt how systemic oppression shows up in our lives. Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation utilizes these skills along with ancestral wisdom and present-day adaptations to begin to undo systemic oppression and heal towards individual and collective liberation. Coaching for Healing and Non-Violence is rooted in the same principles and primarily does work inside the California State Prison system with people who are incarcerated.
Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation’s core values include:
Being led by folks who are Black, Indigenous, or people of color (BIPOC).
Holding an intersectional anti-oppression analysis that starts with understanding and dismantling white supremacy and settler colonialism.
Healing and self-reflection are necessary for individual and collective liberation.
A just and sustainable world is not only possible but we are a part of co-creating that world now.
Principles of transformative justice and traditional ways of healing are central to our approach.
ABOUT THE POSITION The Development and Communications Manager is responsible for telling Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation’s story by 1) developing and co-holding a relationship-centered resource cultivation strategy that engages individual and institutional donor; and 2) the development and implementation of an organization-wide communications strategy that is in alignment with organizational values, culture, and vision. This position is Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation’s key storyteller by weaving together narratives that connect to our many audiences.
Our ideal candidate is relational, Self-led, loves to write, has direct experience in fundraising, years of anti-oppression social justice work experience, and is a nuanced and compelling communicator.
