We are seeking highly creative and intellectually curious Cloud Engineers, at all levels, who are passionate about cutting-edge distributed computing. As part of a team that is leading the next wave of disruption on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing Cloud ecosystem and culture of technical excellence. You will champion Infrastructure Automation, support Hybrid Cloud Solutions, and display a strong understanding of Cloud-as-a-Service varieties: PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS. Creating the next generation of network-centric Cloud architectures, you will make a key contribution supporting end-to-end public Cloud Automation of application delivery, including Infrastructure provisioning and integration with CI/CD platforms, using existing and emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience moving infrastructure to the Cloud. This role will also provide technical subject matter expertise for RM Dayton Analytics sales and account teams during the scoping of new cloud data platform opportunities. This is a remote position with ability to travel to client sites as needed. Open to any qualified applicant in the United States. US work authorization that requires transfer of sponsorship or support for employment is not available for this position. What will I be doing? Primary focus of this position is to provide design and development support to clients. This is a hands-on, intense role of working side by side with end user partners to drive better analytics, reporting and client competitive advantage. Key responsibilities to include: Driving project/service delivery Plan and lead the deployment of the cloud solution in production environments Automate the provisioning of environments and the deployment of those environments using containers, like Docker or Rocket Design and develop automation workflows, perform unit tests and conduct reviews. Ensure work is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for platform performance, and assess the overall quality of delivered components Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary due to the dynamic nature of collaborations with customers, vendors, and other engineering teams Evaluate and build different compute frameworks for all tiers Implement scalable system solutions Self-starters who can work independently and across teams; establishing smooth running environments is paramount to success Experience migrating on-site solutions to cloud-based offerings, such as GCP or AWS What are we looking for? Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering At least 1 year of experience developing applications embracing Agile principles At least 1 year of experience with cloud-based hosting solutions (AWS-EC2/S3, GCP) At least 2 years with large-scale infrastructure designs, implementation, and support To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications: 4-year College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent demonstrated experience. Master’s degree preferred. Strong SQL development skills Experience in cloud databases like Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift is a plus Experience with GCP and AWS technologies 4+ years of experience in the data and analytics space 6+ years of RDBMS concepts with strong data analysis and SQL experience 3+ years of Linux OS command line tools and bash scripting proficiency Google Cloud Professional Cloud Database Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or AWS Certified Developer - Associate certifications It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: Downstream ML knowledge Data Modeling experience a plus Nine (9) + years of professional technology related field experience Five (5) + years of experience with Big Data technologies and platforms such as Hadoop, Redshift, Scala, Spark, or Hive Snowflake experience is a plus SnowPro Core Certification or SnowPro Advanced Architect Certification is a plus Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred About RM Dayton Analytics A little bit about us...
