Role Overview The
FP&A Associate
will play a critical role in supporting SquadUP’s financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. This role will work closely with finance leadership to provide insight into business performance, support pricing analysis related to payment processing, and help drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional looking to gain broad exposure across FP&A, accounting oversight, and operational finance within a growing, private-equity-backed software company.
Key Responsibilities
Support annual budgeting and long-range planning processes
Prepare forecasts and reforecasts based on business performance and updated assumptions
Track and report on weekly and monthly pacing metrics
Reporting & Performance Management
Prepare monthly variance analyses comparing actual results to budget and forecast
Develop and maintain bookings-to-billings analysis and reporting
Support management reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
Develop insightful presentations and financial scenario analysis to facilitate senior
Accounting & Policy Oversight
Assist with accounting oversight to ensure alignment between financial reporting and business performance
Support financial policy setting and documentation in partnership with finance leadership
Operational Finance
Manage and track client bonus programs
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and leadership to ensure financial accuracy and transparency
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
1–3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a related role
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with financial systems a plus
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Clear communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
