WE HAVE AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR AN UNDERWRITING ASSISTANT TO JOIN OUR GROWING INSURANCE FIRM IN MIDTOWN MANHATTAN. 2+ years of insurance (underwriting) experience required, strong MS Excel skills and basic knowledge of interpreting coverage on an insurance binder/policy. Key Responsibilities

• Compile and submit new business information for Salesforce setup.
• Process premium transactions
• Perform rating calculations for Automobile Excess Liability Facultative placements.
• Support underwriting analysis and rating tools.
• Prepare renewal accounts, including collection of Profit & Loss exhibits and Loss reports.
• Distribute Loss Runs to underwriters and brokers, as needed.
• Prepare and issue endorsements.
• Maintain accurate updates across underwriting systems.
• Support the underwriting process from submission through quotation, binding, and ongoing policy maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
