We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our medical spa team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage therapy services to promote relaxation, pain relief, and overall wellness for our diverse clientele. This role requires a strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to deliver tailored treatments that meet individual patient needs. The therapist will create a welcoming environment, ensuring exceptional patient service and satisfaction.
*Duties*
* Perform various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific pain points and muscle tension.
* Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual health conditions and goals.
* Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and occupational health to deliver safe and effective therapies.
* Educate patients on post-treatment care and recommend additional therapies or lifestyle adjustments as needed.
* Maintain detailed documentation of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with medical standards.
* Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of treatment areas and equipment in accordance with health regulations.
* Foster a positive patient experience through excellent customer service, empathy, and professionalism.
*Experience*
* Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
* Proven experience in patient service, with a focus on pain management and therapeutic massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
* Prior work in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy to accurately assess patient needs and tailor treatments accordingly.
* Experience in occupational health or related fields is a plus.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients. Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping clients improve their well-being through expert massage therapy services.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
