Part Qualified Accountant

We are seeking a Newly / Part-Qualified Accountant to join our client’s growing team in County Cork. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial management while supporting a diverse client portfolio, predominantly in the Retail sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and review of management accounts.
• Analyse and present weekly KPI reports to the Senior Account Manager.
• Identify and address financial control issues, recommending process improvements.
• Implement and monitor effective internal controls.
• Oversee the accounts payable function and ensure efficient processes.
• Manage working capital to optimise cash flow.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
• Deliver financial control services and strategic support to clients.

Key Requirements:

• Be a Newly / Part-qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• Significant experience in a similar position.
• Strong financial analysis and accounts preparation skills.
• Ability to train and supervise junior staff.
• Proficient IT skills, particularly in financial software and Excel.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Retail sector experience (advantageous but not essential).
