Our Kansas City, Missouri facility is looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our logistics team. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory through diligent tracking, counting, and reconciliation processes. The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining precise records, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between inventory records and physical stock.
- Maintain accurate inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Track the movement of inventory within the warehouse, ensuring all transactions are recorded.
- Generate inventory reports, including stock levels, turnover rates, and aging inventory.
- Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete stock.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper product identification and location.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Ensure all inventory management processes adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
- Adhere to proper lifting techniques and use of PPE when handling stock.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role within a warehouse or logistics setting is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. Candidates must possess excellent attention to detail and be proficient with WMS software and Microsoft Excel. The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs, and a commitment to workplace safety are mandatory.
