We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including tractor-trailers, heavy equipment and industrial equipment.
* Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs.
* Repair and replace transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
* Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and other equipment as needed.
* Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
* Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
* Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of vehicles and equipment.
* Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and comply with industry regulations.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
* Assist in assembly or disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred.
* Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and engine repair.
* Experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery.
* Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
* Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools.
* Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair including brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts repair.
* Experience with electrical systems repair and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
* Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions.
* Strong customer service skills are a plus for interacting with clients or team members regarding repairs or maintenance needs. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
