Are you seeking a dynamic role in the heart of Utah's logistics hub? Our Salt Lake City facility is hiring an Order Picker! As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. This role involves navigating the warehouse, identifying and retrieving specified items, and preparing them for shipment. Accuracy and efficiency are paramount. You will work with a dedicated team to maintain high productivity levels. A strong emphasis is placed on safety; adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory. The job requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick assigned items from various warehouse locations.
- Verify product information and quantities against order requirements.
- Use RF scanners or other handheld devices to track picked items and update inventory.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet daily picking quotas and quality standards.
- Assist in receiving and stocking operations as needed.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Operate material handling equipment safely (training available).
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- Follow all instructions and guidelines to ensure correct order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
