We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to manage outbound shipments at our Portland, Oregon facility. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring that all orders are accurately processed, packaged, and dispatched on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that shipments meet all regulatory and company standards. A keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of shipping procedures are essential. Safety is our top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety guidelines and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. The role involves regular Lifting of packages, typically up to 40 pounds, and requires the ability to stand for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipping information for accuracy.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage or discrepancies.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Assist with inventory management as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
- Ability to handle moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
