Job Summary:
Our Kansas City, Missouri location is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee and manage all aspects of inventory accuracy and management. This critical role ensures the integrity of our stock levels, supports operational efficiency within our logistics network, and minimizes inventory-related losses. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, analyzing data, and working collaboratively with warehouse and operational teams to resolve discrepancies. Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust inventory control procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve all inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Oversee the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate inventory recording.
  • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams on stock management strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.
  • Generate detailed reports on inventory accuracy, value, and movement.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally.
  • Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and able to stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and the importance of wearing PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
