Border Patrol Agent
Career opportunities are available for Borders Protection Agents . This position is responsible for safeguarding the country’s borders and protecting its citizens.
Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen.
- Must have had primary residency in the US for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
- No age restriction applies to candidates who have previously served in federal civilian law enforcement positions or those eligible under Title 5 U.S.C. §8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. §8412(d).
The ideal candidate will possess specialized experience, including:
is proficient in firearms handling,
detects and questions people suspected of violating laws,
evaluates information rapidly making prompt decisions.
have developed effective communication skills when dealing with diverse groups.
must hold authority granted by state or government to enforce laws make arrests investigate crimes perform duties as an official law enforcement officer.
