About the Position
This career ladder position offers grade level progression from GL-9 to GS-11 to GS-12. You will be eligible for promotion after completing 52 weeks in each lower grade level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws by inspecting documents and possessions
- Preventing aliens and smugglers at or near borders through surveillance operations using various government assets like vehicles, horses, vessels etc.
- Maintaining physical evidence records including tracks marks and other signs related illegal entry
About the Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess one year's worth specialized experience equivalent next lower grade level performing duties such as:
