This is a career ladder position with multiple grade levels (GL-5, GL-7, GL-9) based on experience or education. It requires performing various duties in law enforcement capacity such as criminal code enforcement, determining violations of laws, correctional work involving criminal offenders and security services. You must have had primary U.S. residency for at least three years out of five to be eligible for this position.
The Border Patrol Agent role involves making arrests after required training has been completed and exercising sound judgment while using firearms. It also includes dealing effectively with people in connection with law enforcement matters.
You will receive comprehensive formal training including courses on immigration and nationality laws; physical techniques; driver instruction; use of Spanish language proficiency tests etc.,
Apart from technical skills required there are certain criteria like U.S citizenship which can disqualify you if not met properly before applying further ahead during selection process stages - especially age restrictions exist depending upon prior service status respectively along side preference towards ex military personnel
If referred successful candidate then recruited under Public Law 100 -238 would need satisfy any other documents needed otherwise applicant won't proceed beyond screening phase later onwards !
