This role involves being part of an elite team working in law enforcement, safeguarding the nation's borders and deterring illicit activities.

• Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.


• Pursue undocumented noncitizens and smugglers at or near the border while maintaining covert surveillance using infrared scopes during night operations.


• Interpret tracks, marks, and other physical evidence related to illegal entry of persons or contraband.


• Conduct farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, transportation checks within assigned areas.


• Patrol international boundaries utilizing various government assets including vehicles for accomplishing USBP Mission objectives.
