Compensation
$21.00 to $25.00 per hour*
The stated compensation range reflects the full scope of the role as currently structured and is provided in accordance with pay transparency requirements. Offers are determined based on relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and alignment with the role's requirements. Our client, a respected national healthcare services organization operating within specialty pharmaceutical programs, is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist (3 month contract) to support patients, healthcare providers, and insurers in navigating the often complex world of reimbursement and coverage approvals.
This is a role for someone who understands that paperwork is not just paperwork. It is access. It is continuity of care. It is relief for patients and reassurance for physicians.
You will sit at the center of a coordinated care network, ensuring that treatments move forward without unnecessary delay.
Position Description
In this role, you will manage the end-to-end reimbursement coordination process for specialty drug programs. You will serve as a primary point of contact for patients, clinics, and insurance providers, guiding cases from initial intake through authorization and fulfillment.
You will manage multiple active cases simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of service and discretion.
Processing medical and pharmacy claims submissions with accuracy
Completing and supporting prior authorization documentation
Collecting and validating medical and insurance information
Coordinating with physicians' offices to secure required clinical details
Following up with insurers to confirm coverage decisions and approval status
Investigating claim discrepancies and resolving reimbursement challenges
Arranging medication shipment logistics to clinical sites
Maintaining accurate, confidential patient records
Acting as account liaison for assigned specialty program stakeholders
Addressing patient inquiries with professionalism and clarity
Experience
1 to 3 years of experience in reimbursement support, insurance case coordination, or Patient Support Programs
Experience interacting directly with patients, clinics, or healthcare providers
Exposure to prior authorization processes and medical documentation workflows
Strong attention to detail in regulated environments
Experience handling confidential healthcare information responsibly
Qualifications
College diploma, university degree, or equivalent professional experience
Comfort navigating insurance systems and documentation requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business software
French language skills considered an asset, though not required
Education
College diploma, university degree, or equivalent professional experience.
