Are you prepared to elevate your career and lead the next wave of digital engineering in the automotive industry?
We are on the lookout for a motivated and innovative Digital Transformation Project Manager to oversee the full delivery lifecycle of state-of-the-art AI and Machine Learning tool applications. In this exciting role, you'll connect advanced data science with essential engineering disciplines such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Requirements Engineering, and Failure Mode Avoidance (FMA). This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of digital innovation that shapes the future of how Ford designs and develops vehicles by providing AI-driven solutions aimed at automating complex engineering tasks, optimizing technical requirements, and enhancing FMA strategies. If you are passionate about transforming product development using AI and empowering engineering teams with powerful, intelligent tools, we invite you to join us and make a lasting impact. Your Responsibilities: Lead the entire AI product delivery process, managing projects from conception through requirements gathering, deployment, and global scaling within our Digitalization and Transformation team. Utilize your thorough knowledge in Requirements Engineering, MBSE, and FMA to direct the development of AI tools, ensuring they meet industry standards (e.g., EARS, INCOSE, SAE J1739). Oversee the implementation of intelligent search and retrieval solutions that offer immediate access to vital data, regulatory guidelines, and live program data, integrating resources for enterprise tools such as FEDE and 3DX to boost engineering efficiency. Manage the creation of AI-driven tools that refine engineering requirements using Natural Language Processing for compliance, clarity, and smooth integration with tools like FEDE WB, Jama, and MagicDraw. Lead projects focused on automating FMA workflows by implementing generative AI tools that convert boundary diagrams into SysML models or optimized DFMEAs, minimizing manual work and ensuring consistency. Work collaboratively with IT product teams and data scientists in an Agile framework to define AI tool functionalities, prioritize the product backlog, and oversee delivery. Ensure that the AI tools are user-friendly for the Design and Release (D&R) engineering teams, managing their rollout and integration into active vehicle programs. Create documentation and conduct training sessions to facilitate the transition of functional engineering teams from manual processes to AI-enhanced workflows. What You Bring: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Over 5 years of experience in Product Development, particularly in Design and Release (D&R) or Systems Engineering. Proven track record in Project Management with successful implementation of technical software or digital tools from start to finish. Strong foundational knowledge in MBSE (SysML), Requirements Management, and FMA techniques. Familiarity with leading industry tools: Siemens Teamcenter (FEDE), CatiaMagic (Cameo), and/or Dassault 3DX. A keen interest or background in AI/ML applications (e.g., Large Language Models, NLP, or Data Automation) within engineering contexts. Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively translate complex engineering requirements for AI development teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills, adept at presenting digital initiatives to leadership. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, ADO). Even if you don't meet every requirement, if you feel you could add value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply! We pride ourselves on being an established global company that offers a variety of career pathways. Explore the possibilities: Will your journey be international or local? Will you delve deeper into your passion or broaden your experience across teams? Will you become a leader, innovator, technical expert, or community builder—or all of the above? Whatever you choose, we support a work life that aligns with your goals, featuring: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage. Flexible family care days, paid parental leave, and programs for new parents. Family-building benefits, including adoption reimbursement and fertility treatments. Discount programs for vehicles for employees and their families. Tuition assistance. Active employee resource groups. Paid time off for community service activities.
