Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Teacher to inspire and nurture young children in a dynamic early childhood education environment. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts.
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that supports children's physical and emotional well-being.
- Supervise children during activities, playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor excursions to ensure safety at all times.
- Engage children in educational activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and cognitive development.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental progress, and daily activities in compliance with licensing standards.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or health issues.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education and special education needs.
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities to ensure inclusive participation and development.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior through nurturing guidance techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a lively and motivating environment.
- Experience caring for infants through preschool-aged children including toddler care and infant care responsibilities.
