Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and classroom management, with a focus on nurturing infants and toddlers. This role offers an opportunity to create a stimulating learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth for young children. The Preschool Infant Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering positive behavior, and supporting each child's individual needs in a caring and safe setting.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
  • Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, curiosity, and social interaction among infants and toddlers.
  • Monitor and document each child's developmental progress through assessments and observations, including standardized testing when appropriate.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques.
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently to maintain a secure environment for children at all times.
  • Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and developmental milestones for each child.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education, including curriculum development and classroom management.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is required; experience with infants and toddlers is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and early intervention strategies.
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management in diverse educational environments such as private schools or Montessori settings.
  • Familiarity with special education practices, literacy education, math instruction for young learners, and teaching physical education.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Background in early childhood education certifications or relevant coursework is advantageous; experience working with students requiring additional support is a plus. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
