Workday Financials Specialist

We are hiring a senior Workday Financials specialist who can sit at the intersection of pre-sales, solution architecture, and hands-on delivery. This role is ideal for someone who wants to shape how solutions are sold and delivered, and who is looking for a genuine growth path into a future Workday Finance Director type position as the function scales.

What you will be doing

• Lead financials discovery sessions and translate business goals into a Workday Financials solution blueprint
• Own solution design for demos, workshops, and stakeholder presentations for finance leadership
• Support RFP responses, scoping, estimates, and statement of work input for Workday Financials work
• Act as the trusted advisor on Workday Financials best practice, design decisions, and overall architecture
• Deliver and support Workday Financials deployments from discovery to go-live and post go-live optimisation
• Own end-to-end configuration and administration across a broad Workday Financials footprint
• Drive automation and continuous improvement in financial workflows and controls
• Partner with Finance, Payroll, and IT teams to turn financial needs into technical solutions
• Act as the Financials SME for troubleshooting, security, integrations, and data integrity
• Manage semi-annual Workday releases for Financials including impact analysis, testing, and deployment
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics for Finance leadership
• Train users, create guides, and provide Tier 2 support for finance teams as needed

Required experience

• Workday Pro certification in Financials / ERP (required)
• 5+ years of hands-on Workday Financials administration and delivery experience
• Proven track record in deploying and implementing Workday Financials modules end to end
• Strong knowledge of Workday security, business processes, integrations, and finance data structures
• Strong financial reporting and dashboard creation capability
• Confident client-facing communication with cross-functional project delivery experience

Highly beneficial

• Workday Implementer certification (strong advantage)
• Experience implementing Financials in mid to large market organisations
• Integration exposure such as Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, APIs, or Workday Integration Cloud
• Familiarity with Workday Extend (nice to have)
