Position Summary
The Resident Aide will provide personal care services, assistance, support and supervision to residents. The Resident Aide will also provide housekeeping services, medication administration/control, assist with activities, food services and in some cases companionship.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Must display honesty and Integrity
- Must have at least 1 year of care giving experience, training and certificates to support (CBRF or CNA) negotiable at the time of interview
- Must not have a criminal background (which would affect being hired)
- Must be able to tolerate sitting and standing for a long period of time, along with being able to lift more than 50lbs
- Must be able to endure housing conditions
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform personal assistance services for residents as dictated by their ISP's examples that includes
- Following the care plan as directed by lead
- Assisting with bathing and grooming- includes: Washing and conditioning hair, finger and toenail care, brush teeth or dentures, shower assistance and more
- Preparing food — it is very important for residents to maintain proper nutrition
- Medication reminders- caregivers must assure that medications are taken at the correct time as directed by doctor
- Clean all areas of the residents living space- including sweeping, mopping, dusting, dishwashing, linen changing and laundry
- Transferring Residents- this refers to transferring the client from chairs, from the toilet, from the bed and in some cases from the company vehicle
- It is imperative to assist residents with toileting to avoid infections
- Depending on position determines if transporting residents per their need is included in responsibilities
- Monitoring changes in resident's health- when following the care plan, the administrator/lead will want to know if there are any changes in health that are concerning and that may need medical attention
- Companionship — possibly the most important of all caregiver duties, caregivers will be with the resident all day and it's mutually beneficial if they enjoy each other's company.
- Additional responsibilities include:
- Report any and all violations of residents rights
- Respect resident's personal property and report any damages
- Complete and submit all supporting documents as designated in a timely fashion
- Maintain client confidentiality at all times
- Maintain professional relationships with all residents
- Communicate with immediate administrator/lead of changes in schedule, or issues affecting ability to perform assigned duties

- We are mostly looking for individuals of whom are compassionate, need a second job or someone that's retired and looking something light to do.
- Pay rates are based per position & individual

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $9.00 - $15.00 per year
