We are seeking a skilled Profile Cutter or Plasma Cutter Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties

• Set up and operate plasma cutting machines and profile cutting equipment to produce high-quality metal parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately to determine cutting paths and dimensions
• Program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) laser or plasma cutters for precise automation of cutting processes
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including calibration and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance
• Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
• Use hand tools and fabrication equipment such as press brakes, CNC mills, lathes, stamping presses, and welding tools for assembly and finishing tasks
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols involving cranes, forklifts, and electrical safety standards

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience operating plasma cutting or profile cutting machines in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming and laser or plasma cutting technology
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings with precision (GD&T knowledge preferred)
• Experience with milling, burning, welding, forming, bending, or stamping operations
• Skilled in using hand tools, tooling setups, and fabrication equipment including press brakes and stamping presses
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
• Experience with quality inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
• Good understanding of manufacturing safety standards and protocols

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $ $40.36 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 80 per week
