Responsibilities

• Prepare pet food ingredients according to established recipes and safety guidelines, maintaining consistency and quality.
• Operate food processing equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to sanitation and food safety standards.
• Manage inventory levels of ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper storage.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly to meet sanitation regulations.
• Assist in packaging finished products, labeling, and organizing shipments for distribution.
• Follow all food handling procedures, including proper hygiene practices and allergen controls.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while upholding safety protocols and quality standards.

Experience

• Prior experience in food preparation or culinary roles, preferably within the food industry or quick service & fast-food restaurant environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for inventory management and sales tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting with multiple priorities.
• Experience in cashiering, customer service, or retail math enhances your ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques is essential.
• Previous work in grocery stores or cafes involving food service, bussing, or serving will support your success in this role.
