Roofing Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Roofing Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist with various roofing projects, perform manual labor tasks, and support skilled tradespeople in completing high-quality roofing installations and repairs. This role offers an opportunity to develop hands-on experience in the construction and roofing industry while working on diverse projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and roofing materials
• Prepare job sites by setting up scaffolding, safety barriers, and organizing materials
• Support in framing, sheathing, and flashing work as needed
• Carry heavy materials such as shingles, plywood, and metal sheets to designated areas on-site
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure proper installation procedures
• Perform general construction tasks including framing, carpentry, caulking, and masonry work when required
• Assist with demolition and site cleanup to ensure efficient project progression
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

• Prior experience in construction or roofing is preferred; familiarity with construction estimating is a plus
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and effectively
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights for extended periods
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to roofing projects
• Experience with various trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry, framing), masonry (stucco), plumbing, welding, tile laying, or restoration is advantageous
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety compliance
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license is preferred for site access when necessary
