GENERAL SUMMARY

The Licensed Clinician in Children's Services works within a multidisciplinary team to provide an array of direct (face-to-face) and indirect clinical services to children/adolescents as well as caregivers in a child-centered, family-focused approach utilizing evidenced based practices delivered to fidelity. These services are primarily delivered in a clinic-based setting from multiple CBH clinic locations in San Antonio. The Licensed Clinician (Children's Services) serves as the Lead Non-Medical Provider on the multi-disciplinary team and is the primary person responsible for ongoing assessment and recovery planning.

Specific Program Description

The Youth Crisis Outreach Team (YCOT) program is a crisis stabilizing resource

specially designed to support youth and families in crisis to prevent escalation to more

acute settings when resolution in a home, school, or community setting is more

appropriate. YCOT is a specialized resource embedded within the crisis service

continuum, working alongside other crisis programs to collectively provide support 24

hours a day, seven days a week. During designated hours, YCOT will provide a

developmentally-appropriate, in person response with specially trained staff. YCOT will

use trauma-informed interventions and strategies to de-escalate a youth in crisis, aid

in relapse prevention and safety planning and will offer support to the youth and their

family, or other primary caregiver, for a minimum of 30 days and up to 90 days after the

crisis. YCOTs serve youth ages three to 17 years who are in need of behavioral health

crisis services and intervention to prevent escalation to more acute settings when

resolution in a home, school, or community setting is more appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provides direct clinical services and assessments. Develops treatment plans for consumers.

· Provides outpatient treatment services, including individual and group counseling.

· Links and refers consumers presenting to the clinic to appropriate services.

· Provides compliance and clinical updates to court. Makes recommendations for treatment, incentives, and sanctions.

· Provides direct individualized clinical services 60% of hours worked.

· Provides emergency case management assistance, as needed.

· Participate in the centralized scheduling process.

· Participate in supervision and development opportunities including individual supervision, group supervision, and meetings/training as assigned.

· Ensures clinical documentation is submitted in accordance with CHCS standards, and contract-specific requirements.

· Coordinates coverage for planned absences in advance with the supervisor.

· Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

· Master's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited university.

· Complete the Qualified Mental Health Professional Community Services (QMHP-CS) within six (6) weeks of hire or
