Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook specializing in Asian cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. This role involves preparing authentic Asian dishes, ensuring high-quality presentation, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. The Cook will contribute to creating a memorable dining experience for our guests through exceptional culinary skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Asian dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
• Assist in menu planning and development to ensure authentic flavors and presentation
• Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with food safety regulations
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepared for service
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
• Assist with meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances throughout shifts
• Follow dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs when required

Skills

• Proven experience in Asian cuisine cooking, with a strong understanding of traditional techniques and ingredients
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food preparation and cooking methods
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is preferred
• Ability to plan menus that highlight authentic flavors while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment under pressure
• Prior experience with dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department experience is a plus
• Familiarity with catering operations and serving is advantageous
