Environmental Services Technician

Be part of a team that takes pride in keeping John's Island Club clean, safe, and welcoming. We are hiring full-time seasonal Environmental Services Technicians (Housekeeping/Custodial) for our Day Shift (5:30am-2pm) to join us from October through April/May.

In this role, you'll be an important part of daily Club operations, ensuring members enjoy a spotless, well-cared-for environment. You'll work with supportive teammates, have reliable hours, and know your efforts make a visible difference every day. This position requires weekend and holiday scheduling.

Job Duties

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all member and staff areas, including lobbies, dining rooms, offices, locker rooms, and restrooms
• Vacuum, mop, shampoo carpets, dust and polish furniture, clean mirrors, glass, brass, walls, doors, and fixtures
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, showers, and locker rooms; replenish soap, paper products, and other supplies
• Wash, dry, and fold towels, linens, and other laundry as assigned
• Collect and properly dispose of trash and recycling throughout the Club
• Pressure wash patios and walkways and use a blower to clear leaves and debris
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies when needed
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage to property promptly to a supervisor
• Perform additional cleaning or service tasks as directed to support smooth Club operations

Job Requirements

• Able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for long periods (up to 8 hours or more)
• Able to lift, push, or carry up to 40 pounds regularly
• Able to handle chemicals safely and follow instructions
• Work will be indoors and outdoors, sometimes in heat, humidity, or around cleaning chemicals
• Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays
