Job Summary

Candlewood Suites Perry National Fairgrounds is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Room Attendant / Part-Time Night Audit Clerk to support housekeeping operations and overnight front desk duties. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who works well independently, delivers excellent guest service, and maintains high standards of cleanliness, accuracy, and safety during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities: Room Attendant (Housekeeping)

• Clean and service guest rooms according to brand standards
• Make beds, change linens, and restock towels and amenities
• Clean bathrooms, dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
• Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance, and safety issues
• Report maintenance concerns promptly
• Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas
• Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures
• Assist with laundry duties as needed

Part-Time Night Audit / Front Desk

• Perform overnight front desk operations
• Check guests in and out accurately and efficiently
• Post room charges, taxes, and payments
• Balance daily revenue and complete night audit reports
• Prepare required audit and occupancy reports
• Answer phone calls and assist with guest inquiries
• Resolve guest concerns professionally
• Monitor hotel activity to ensure overnight security
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Hotel housekeeping or front desk experience preferred (training provided)
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
