Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary & Kindergarten Teacher to join our Montessori inspired program. The ideal candidate is committed to the Montessori philosophy, demonstrates strong classroom leadership, and collaborates effectively with colleagues and families. Candidates must hold a valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate.

Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Instruction & Environment

• Lead a mixed-age Montessori classroom for children ages 3–6, including Kindergarten students.
• Prepare and maintain an orderly, engaging, and developmentally appropriate Montessori environment.
• Deliver lessons aligned with Montessori curriculum and Pennsylvania Early Childhood Standards.
• Observe, assess, and document student progress using Montessori and state-aligned tools.
• Support each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Student Support & Behavior Guidance

• Foster independence, respect, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Provide individualized instruction and interventions when needed.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere.

Collaboration & Professionalism

• Work collaboratively with assistants, co-teachers, and administrators.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and state requirements.
• Uphold Montessori best practices while integrating state academic expectations.

Qualifications Required:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate (Early Childhood or Elementary).
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development.
• Commitment to Montessori philosophy and child-led learning.
• Warm, patient, and child-centered approach.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Reflective, flexible, and committed to continuous learning.

Pay: $ $21.75 per hour
