Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Funeral Home Property Coordinator to join our dedicated team. This role is vital in ensuring the respectful management and maintenance of funeral home property, supporting families during their time of need, and coordinating various logistical aspects of funeral services. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks with professionalism and sensitivity.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the cleanliness, safety, and overall maintenance of funeral home property and grounds
  • Coordinate with families and staff to ensure proper setup for funeral services, viewings, and memorial events
  • Assist with heavy lifting related to casket handling, equipment setup, and transportation logistics
  • Provide bereavement support to grieving families, offering compassionate assistance throughout the funeral process
  • Manage event planning for memorial services, including scheduling, logistics coordination, and ensuring all arrangements are executed smoothly
  • Support sales efforts by providing information about funeral packages and additional services to families
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for funeral services
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

Experience

  • Prior experience in funeral directing or bereavement support is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Experience in event planning or coordinating logistics is advantageous
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently is essential
  • Strong sales skills are a plus for engaging with families about service options
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to supporting grieving families
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is beneficial

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40, $55,000.00 per year
