À propos
Our Mission is to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
We are more than healthcare. We are a team of caregivers who see what we do as a
calling and treat every person, every time as if they were a loved one. We don't just heal
what hurts. We ease minds and encourage spirits by providing a more personal level of
care than ever before – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Our mission is to Extend
the healing ministry of Christ, which starts with caring for others with uncommon
compassion and going above and beyond to make those we serve, feel loved.
Wellness is at the core of what we do, focusing on living a better life today and always.
We want everyone to Feel Whole and we see our work as a calling. This is how we make
a difference. With our whole-person care, expertise and world-class resources we strive
to provide an exceptional experience for all. With hospitals and facilities in over 9 states,
our consistent approach to healthcare allows us to live our mission and ensure that our
communities are living fuller, healthier lives.
As Part of the Ministry Team
The focus of the ministry team at AdventHealth is relational, formed on the experience of
full and healthy relationships with God, self, and others. We are called to care for and
support the spiritual lives of patients, families, and team members each day.
The principles that inform the nature of ministry as a part of this team are:
- Spiritual Encounter Driven Care, rather than consult completion driven care
- Core Clinical Service Based, rather than religious or spiritual program based
- Emotional Integration in Relationship, rather than professional isolation
- Shared Responsibility Process for Caring, rather than individually owned processes
for caring
General Summary of the Position of Chaplain (FT)
Chaplains are clinically trained ministers responsible for providing excellence in spiritual
care in the clinical context. As Chaplains we provide spiritual care to AdventHealth's
patients, families, team members and partners. Chaplains participate as part of the
clinical healthcare team in assessing spiritual needs for patients and their families at the
bedside or in short-term spiritual support situations for families and care team members
in inpatient, outpatient, urgent-care, physician clinics and practices, telehealth and video
platforms, corporate campuses video, telehealth platforms and other healthcare related
specialized care settings.
By providing clinical core services, full-time Chaplains participate in leadership of care
teams by fostering a sense of mission that enhances a culture of trust, the experience of
belonging for all, and a future of hope within the healthcare context and among the
healthcare providers on the team. Chaplains participate in leading outstanding relational
respect and service by modeling respectful and mature relationships to all. Chaplains
