About The Role
The Financial Analyst II at Lindt & Sprüngli plays a vital role in supporting our operational teams by providing strategic financial insights, managing complex budgets, and facilitating data-driven decision-making processes. This position involves leading financial planning and analysis activities, partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize costs, and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial systems, business processes, and manufacturing financial drivers, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and continuous process improvements. The role offers a dynamic environment where autonomy, analytical rigor, and stakeholder influence are essential for success.

This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week at our corporate office located in Stratham, NH, providing flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with teams.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a combination of education, experience, and skills aligned with our business needs:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive financial analysis experience, preferably within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environment.
  • Proven track record of supporting operational teams with financial insights, strategic recommendations, and business case development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong skills in PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and foster collaborative relationships.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain financial drivers, and cost structures.

Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst II will be responsible for a broad range of financial activities to support operational excellence and strategic growth:

  • Support the annual budgeting and latest estimate (LE) processes for the operations function, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and deadlines.
  • Consolidate, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and refine financial models that underpin strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
  • Develop and enhance financial reporting tools, dashboards, and visualizations tailored to operational leadership needs.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis, identify trends, and communicate findings with clear narratives and strategic implications.
  • Manage monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial entries, cost allocations, and compliance standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial packages, including manufacturing profit and loss statements, cost dashboards, and operational summaries.
  • Perform cost simulations and scenario analyses to evaluate the financial impact of operational decisions and initiatives.
  • Act as a financial advisor to operations leadership, offering guidance on cost optimization, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency.
