Infant Assistant Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting infants' developmental needs in a nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for childcare, experience with infants, and a commitment to fostering a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere for young children. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant growth and development
• Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed
• Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Observe and document infants' progress and behaviors to inform individualized care plans
• Engage with children through play, sensory activities, and social interactions that encourage learning
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent caregiving practices and positive classroom dynamics
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing additional assistance as required

Experience

• Prior experience working with infants or in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool, or nannying is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and caregiving best practices
• Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques
• Certifications such as first aid are highly desirable; ongoing training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs
• Previous experience in caregiving roles such as babysitting or nannying that involved caring for infants is advantageous
