Alarm Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining various alarm systems, including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), fire alarms, and video systems. This role requires a strong understanding of power tools and field service operations, along with the ability to work independently in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems including IDS, fire alarms, and video equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing of alarm systems to ensure functionality and compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to alarm systems in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Provide detailed risk assessments, along with recommended thorough protection features for customers.
• Utilize power tools safely and effectively during installations and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations performed.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in the alarm industry.
• Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations during all installations and repairs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a service technician or similar role in the security or alarm industry.
• Familiarity with IDS, fire alarm systems, CCTV installation, and maintenance.
• Proficient in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade.
• Knowledge of locksmithing is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to telecommunicate effectively for remote troubleshooting when necessary.
• Relevant certifications in alarm technology or related fields are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by industry standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $125,000.00 per year
