Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Shop Mechanic who will be responsible for keeping our fleet and equipment in top working condition. This role covers everything from routine maintenance to emergency in-field repairs. Our equipment ranges from small two-stroke engines to one-ton trucks, so versatility is key. A strong background in General Motors vehicles is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company fleet vehicles, including one-ton trucks.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, and small engines).
• Conduct in-field repairs to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts inventory.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on all equipment and vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices for equipment handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mechanic, with a strong focus on fleet and equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing small engines, two-stroke equipment, and GM vehicles.
• Ability to perform field repairs and troubleshoot issues quickly.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
