Mechanic

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team, providing expert maintenance and repair services for a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. This role requires a strong technical background, hands-on experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of vehicle and equipment diagnostics, repair procedures, and safety protocols to ensure optimal operation and safety standards across our operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and hands-on troubleshooting techniques.
• Repair or replace components such as transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and diesel engines.
• Conduct fabrication work as needed for custom repairs or modifications.
• Operate various heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm machinery safely and efficiently.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other specialized equipment to complete repairs.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for accurate diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform tire service, wheel alignment, brake repair, and vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure safety compliance.
• Assist in assembly or disassembly of machinery during repair or maintenance processes.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used; adhere to safety standards at all times.

Experience

• Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering.
• Familiarity with excavator operation, crane operation, forklift handling, and other heavy machinery.
• Skilled in diagnosing issues related to transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, air brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, diesel engines, and electrical systems.
• Experience working with schematics for complex machinery troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate power tools effectively.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members involved in service projects. Pay: $ $31.16 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
