*Overview*
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Travel Occupational Therapist to join our team! In this role, you will provide expert occupational therapy services across diverse settings, including inpatient, outpatient, schools, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. Your expertise will help patients of all ages regain independence and improve their quality of life through tailored interventions and care plans.
*Duties*
* Assess patients’ functional abilities and develop personalized treatment plans to enhance daily living skills
* Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and feeding to promote independence
* Conduct discharge planning to ensure seamless transitions from hospital or facility to home or other care environments
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, and case managers
* Work with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and those in early intervention programs
* Provide patient education on physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and adaptive techniques for improved outcomes
* Document progress and update care plans regularly to meet evolving patient needs
*Requirements*
* Valid occupational therapy license in the state of CA
* Experience with post-acute care environments including skilled nursing facilities and home health services
* Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and patient care principles
* Ability to work independently while managing caseloads effectively
* Excellent communication skills for collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Nice-to-have skills include experience assisting with ADLs, discharge planning, working with people with autism or disabilities, early intervention experience, occupational health exposure, geriatrics expertise, case management capabilities, pediatrics background, inpatient or outpatient clinic experience, skilled nursing facility work, post-acute care familiarity, home health services knowledge, and school-based therapy experience. Pay: $64.00 - $66.00 per hour
