We are seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Manager & Content Creator to lead our digital storytelling efforts and enhance our online presence across multiple platforms. This position blends creativity with strategy — ideal for someone who thrives in a healthcare or medspa environment and enjoys bringing educational, inspiring, and visually engaging stories to life.
Position Summary
The Social Media Manager & Content Creator will manage and execute NYBSJ's social media strategy, produce high-quality visual and written content, and develop campaigns that increase brand awareness, engagement, and patient inquiries. This role is on-site and requires someone who can capture original photos and videos, work directly with providers and staff, and ensure brand consistency across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to grow engagement, followers, and patient conversions across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and the company website.
- Create and curate high-quality photo, video, and written content that communicates the practice's values and services with professionalism and creativity.
- Collaborate with providers to schedule and produce weekly informational videos, event coverage, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Film, photograph, and edit in-office and on-location content that aligns with NYBSJ's tone, visual standards, and patient education goals.
- Plan and execute paid social campaigns and digital ads to increase website traffic, brand awareness, and new patient leads.
- Manage posting schedules using social media management tools and ensure consistent, compliant messaging across all platforms.
- Track and analyze social and web analytics, providing monthly performance reports and actionable insights for growth.
- Maintain brand compliance and a professional image while bringing warmth and authenticity to all digital content.
- Stay current on healthcare marketing trends, social media tools, video editing techniques, and best practices in digital engagement.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably in a healthcare, medspa, or wellness setting.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in photography, video production, and social media storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator) or similar design and editing tools.
- Working knowledge of Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and SEO principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable engaging with providers, patients (for testimonials or education-based content), and clinical staff in a professional and courteous manner.
Preferred:
- Experience in healthcare, wellness, medical or patient-facing marketing environments.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and compliance considerations in digital media.
- Ability to create both educational and promotional content in a style that fits a medical brand.
