Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Sales Manager in our Mid-Atlantic Region to drive our sales initiatives in the waterproofing and protective coatings market. This role will oversee a network of distribution partners, independent representatives, and end users, with a primary focus on driving specification work with architects and engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of strategic sales growth, strong relationship-building skills within the construction sector, and a deep understanding of project funnel management. A collaborative mindset, exceptional communication, and solid leadership abilities are essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Develop & Execute Sales Strategies

  • Formulate region-specific plans to drive market penetration in waterproofing and protective coatings.
  • Track performance metrics, identify growth opportunities, and adjust tactics to exceed regional targets.

Channel & Partner Management

  • Cultivate strong relationships with distribution partners and independent representatives.
  • Provide training, support, and guidance to ensure accurate forecasting, order fulfillment, and inventory management.

Specification & Customer Engagement

  • Pursue and secure product specifications by collaborating with architects, engineers, and design-build firms.
  • Organize product demonstrations and educational sessions (e.g., lunch-and-learns) to showcase solutions.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Stay informed on industry trends, evolving customer needs, and competitor strategies.
  • Provide actionable insights to safeguard market share and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

CRM & Funnel Management

  • Utilize CRM/Salesforce to maintain accurate project data, track opportunities, and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Generate regular reports on sales activities and pipeline health for internal stakeholders

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-direct in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Experience with formal sales training, value selling, and solution-based sales.
  • Strong CRM expertise preferred) to execute sales funnel management and optimize sales operations
  • Must be able to travel up to 70% within the territory to maximize face-to-face customer engagement.
