Duties

• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Follow planned routes diligently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Assist with route planning to optimize delivery efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
• Short haul day cab truck routes.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for the type of truck operated
• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route driving.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards applicable to commercial driving.
• Excellent navigation skills with route planning experience for efficient deliveries.
• Good communication skills for interacting with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
